A private household in Sunningdale, Cape Town, is seeking a reliable, trustworthy and hardworking Live-In Helper / Housekeeper to join the household on a long-term basis.
The successful candidate must be able to speak Portuguese and take pride in maintaining a clean, organised and well-kept home. The ideal candidate will be dependable, respectful, hardworking and comfortable working within a private family environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general household cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas.
- Dust, sweep, vacuum and mop floors.
- Keep the entire home neat, clean and organised.
- Assist with laundry and other general household duties.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
- Take care of household items, furniture and personal belongings responsibly.
- Assist with additional reasonable household tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to speak Portuguese.
- Previous experience as a Domestic Helper, Housekeeper, Cleaner or in a similar role.
- Good cleaning and housekeeping skills.
- Reliable, honest and trustworthy.
- Good personal hygiene and a neat appearance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Respectful and comfortable working in a private family home.
- Able and willing to live on the premises.
- Contactable references will be advantageous.
- Looking for stable, long-term employment.
Position Details
- Location: Sunningdale, Cape Town
- Salary: R7,000 per month
- Accommodation: Live-in / stay-in position
