Job Overview

Dynamic Outsourced Solutions is seeking reliable and hardworking Yard Cleaners to maintain cleanliness, order, and general housekeeping throughout a busy container park in Maitland, Cape Town. The successful candidates will be responsible for keeping allocated yard areas clean, organised, and free from waste, debris, and potential hazards while adhering to workplace health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated yard areas.
• Sweep, collect, and remove general waste, debris, and litter.
• Keep walkways, work areas, and operational areas clean and free from obstructions.
• Collect and dispose of waste in designated areas according to workplace procedures.
• Assist with cleaning around containers and operational areas where it is safe to do so.
• Maintain cleanliness around staff and common areas when required.
• Use cleaning equipment, tools, and materials safely and correctly.
• Report damaged equipment, spills, hazardous conditions, and other safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist with the cleaning and general upkeep of yard facilities.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are properly stored after use.
• Follow all occupational health and safety procedures.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout the assigned work area.
• Assist with other general yard duties as required.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 10 minimum qualification.
• Grade 12 / Matric will be advantageous.
• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or general worker experience will be advantageous.
• Experience in an outdoor, industrial, warehouse, logistics, or yard environment will be advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and workplace procedures.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good communication skills.
