Eastern Personnel Consultants is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Princess Crossing Spares Picker Packer for a permanent, full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, checking, packing and labelling spare parts while supporting efficient warehouse operations and maintaining high standards of safety and stock accuracy.
Position Details
Location: Princess Crossing
Employment: Permanent, full-time
Salary: R7,871 basic salary per month, non-negotiable
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00; Saturday, 08:00 to 13:00
Benefits: Provident Fund and December Bonus
Legal Requirements
Must be a South African citizen.
Must have a clean criminal record.
A criminal background check and relevant verifications will be conducted on the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities
Locate and pick spare parts and other items accurately using picking lists, RF scanners or voice-picking systems.
Ensure the correct products, quantities and specifications are selected for each order.
Inspect picked items for damage, defects or discrepancies before packing.
Report damaged or incorrect stock to the relevant supervisor.
Select appropriate packaging based on the size and nature of each item.
Use suitable protective materials such as bubble wrap and air pillows to protect products during transport.
Pack and seal parcels securely to prevent damage or loss.
Print and apply accurate shipping and identification labels.
Ensure all required documentation, including invoices and packing slips, is included with each order.
Update warehouse management system (WMS) records as stock is picked, packed and moved.
Assist with regular stock counts and inventory checks.
Maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies.
Operate pallet jacks, trolleys and other warehouse equipment safely where required.
Keep picking, packing and storage areas clean, organised and free from hazards.
Follow all warehouse procedures, health and safety requirements and company standards.
Handle stock and equipment carefully to minimise damage and losses.
Perform other reasonable warehouse duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Previous warehouse, picking, packing or stock-handling experience will be advantageous.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.
Physically fit and able to stand, walk, lift and move stock for extended periods.
Ability to follow picking lists, instructions and warehouse procedures accurately.
Basic computer literacy and ability to work with warehouse systems will be advantageous.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual and responsible.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and good housekeeping.
