Status Staffing is seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Driver to join a well-established food production operation in Somerset West, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading and storage of raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse and production environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent safety awareness and proven forklift driving experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Position Details

- Salary: R7,500 – R8,000 per month

- Working Hours: Rotational shifts
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years' experience as a Forklift Driver.
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
- Valid forklift driving licence.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Previous production environment experience is essential.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious approach to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Load and offload goods from trucks, containers and designated storage areas.
- Transport raw materials, finished products and other goods safely within the warehouse and production facility.
- Assist with receiving, checking and storing incoming stock.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately and on time for dispatch.
- Ensure goods are correctly stacked and stored to prevent damage or loss.
- Conduct daily forklift and equipment inspections before use.
- Report equipment faults, damage or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Maintain accurate and safe movement of stock within the facility.
- Keep the warehouse and work areas clean, organised and free from hazards.
- Follow all occupational health and safety requirements and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse and production duties when required.
- Support efficient day-to-day warehouse and production operations.
